We use the very latest Adobe PDF Rip in our Prepress department and our workflow is based on working with files in PDF format. Ideally you should send your files to us in this format. The PDF should be prepared at press quality.

Alternatively we can accept files in flattened Tif (Tiff) or Jpg (Jpeg) format. The files should be at the correct size for print. The disadvantage of sending files in this format is that all text and graphics will be Bitmap rather than Vector quality. If the file is sent at 300dpi resolution then in our experience the results are generally considered acceptable.

We also accecpt PC Adobe Photoshop CS2 files, saved as PDS, however files may be submitted from any quality image editing software.


We would like art files in pc Adobe Illustrator files, PDF or EPS files. Although files may be submitted from the following programmes as well, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, Freehand, In Design or Quark Express.

We can accept files from a Mac, but only if saved in PC format onto a PC formatted disk.

For PC and Mac files the fonts must always be converted to outlines or a true type PC font may be requested.

Drawings must be submitted as 1:1. Check carefully whether the lines widths are scaleable as well.


Pantones are to be stated in coated pantones codes, if no pantones are supplied, we will print from the file. This may not be the colour expected, so please try and state on every order as we cannot be held responsible for the colour if the pantones have not been supplied.

Whenever black is required please set up as pantone process black 100%K only.
